Specifically, the investigation concerns whether Extreme Networks and certain of its directors and/or officers failed to disclose to shareholders, among other things, that: (i) Extreme Networks was suffering from adverse client demand trends as its clients had ordered more product from the Company than needed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic; (ii) the Company was offsetting the adverse demand trends by fulfilling backlog orders in a manner that materially exceeded the proportion represented to investors; and (iii) as a result, Extreme was drawing down its backlog at a much faster rate than it was representing.
